Clutches fail in the Allison 1000 transmission when used in high performance applications due to excessive heat. When adding HP to your truck via hand held tuners and programmers you will need to take care of your transmission in order to handle the extra power and torque you want. For the hard core performance addicts PPE has developed the PPE Stage IV Allison Transmission Kit. This kit is rated for 850 HP at the crank and is a solid performer in the Allison 1000 Transmission.
Increased surface area provides for increased holding power, heat absortion, shorter lock up time and decreased slippage. All clutch frictions and steels are made from high heat, wear and fatigue resistant materials to insure your Allison Trans will hold up to 850 HP and 1500 ft lbs torque at the crank. This kit is designed to handle a Duramax with stacked performance chips and the use of propane and/or smaller nitrous sytems.

Use the drop down menu and add a deep pan for increased fluid capacity and lower high temps while towing. Choose from a PPE Pan or an Allison Stamped Steel Pan
