The BD remote filter kit comes with a Donaldson fuel filter but will accept the Cat 1R-0749, 1R-0750. This allow you to have a longer 2 micron fuel filter inline down below on the frame rails under the truck. Extra filtration never hurt anybody! Many people are putting this on then adding a lift pump such as the Raptor by Air Dog or the PPE Electric fuel pump before or after it to help with the restriction of multiple filters and a 2 micron filter at that if you use the Cat 1R-0750.
