A Turbo Timer is a device designed to an engine running for a pre specified amount of time or until a pre spcified temperature is reached to execute a cool down period. This prevents premature turbo wear and failure. It also allows lubricating oil from the engine to circulate properly so the turbine won't burn the oil that would otherwise be trapped within the turbo charger with the turbine rotating at high speeds.
This turbo timer is designed for use with all GM Duramax Diesel, Ford Powerstroke diesel engines, Dodge Cummins (excluding 2006-Up) using the Edge EAS system on the CS & CTS Platforms including the Attitude, Evo and Insight with CS or CTS screen. Must have EAS starter cable to enable EAS accessories.
*Will Not Work with 2006-Up Dodge Cummins diesel engines. The 2006-Up Dodge Cummins must use Part # 98612 Dodge Turbo Timer
